| Tim, I thank you for your invaluable and unique web page. I think your service of free mulch is invaluable. I am only sorry that Bullsbrook does not seem to be a popular venue for excess mulch, and even though I know there are often postings of excess mulch, without the facilities to get any, I have not been able to avail of any. Keep up the good work. Yes you can post all or any of my comments. De-Anne |

| Hi Tim I am happy to advise that I find your various emails are usually interesting and informative on a variety of subjects. However it is obvious that you are continually having problems with the free mulch offer because of the enormous quantity that is usually dumped on the unsuspecting individual's front lawn which your frequent requests for others to help get rid of it amply illustrate. This is the reason I withdrew my application a long time ago because a neighbor had the same problem. It appears that some sort of scheme to limit the quantity dumped needs to be devised. Reg James |

| Dear Tim, What a huge lot of mulch we got! I was not expecting so much. But not of it will be wasted. Already our garden is feeling the benefits as my roses are had the best blooms ever and all during the heat we have had. They have out on such a good display that many have commented about them. Its taking awhile to get the heap down but that's because hubby has been sick. I think those who say they have excess mulch must not be putting it on thick enough or must have very small yards. Just on the lighter side a few days after the mulch arrive hubby caught someone stealing the mulch off the verge. They drove up in a 4 WD and were preparing to load some mulch into the back of it. Who would have thought that mulch was such a valuable item worth stealing! Regards Maureen |

| Hi Tim, I have read with interest the earlier comments made by other members of this service.
I have now registered my mother as a recipient as she is on a low income and could never afford to purchase the
mulch herself. Although the loads are large, and possibly to much for small gardens, the neighbors in close proximity
could share it. It would be a good way to develop strong relationships with the people close by. I have not been fortunate enough to receive any mulch myself due to the tyranny of distance - I live forty kms out of Midland and this is possibly a bit to far for deliveries. I have also not been able to avail myself of any of the excess that people advertise as I work full time and cannot get out to collect it. I will however watch out for your ads whilst I am holiday. I work in local government and a lot of our residents think that we can provide mulch. Sadly we are unable to do this, so I have passed on this site to friends and customers when receive a lot of requests from people wanting mulch. I hope that you continue this service, it is a great initiative. Have a great day Kerry Toop |

| Dear Tim I was thrilled to get the huge pile of mulch delivered on my front lawn. Although daunting at first, all of my neighbours were able to mulch their gardens as well as my own. About 5 houses in my street benefited from the mulch. Thanks so much it was great, though it was a huge pile and took a bit of moving. I don't know if I could handle moving that much mulch again!!! Your frequent emails are interesting also and I often forward them to people I think may be interested. Regards Carol Barnard |

| I think it is a fabulous idea. I had some mulch delivered New Years Eve, At first it appeared
to be a mountain of mulch way above the needs of my 1.5 cubic metre yard, but with the help of my environmentally
conscious neighbours, we spent a wonderful New Years Day moving the mountain to various homes in the street that needed mulch. It was a great day with a great community spirit followed by a neighbourly bbq for all. Many thanks for your wonderful contribution to our community Marguerite Giles |

| Hi Tim I find your emails are interesting and informative on a variety of subjects and want to stay turned to mulchnet. I have already received a load of mulch which I had nightmares about for weeks later until it had all been used up … but it did make for excellent thick ground cover to last me half a decade … and great conversation and a good laugh with my friends ….it was huge. I did get rid of it through friends and advertising at the local deli. Thankyou for your excellent service. Cheers Lesley |

| Tim, I was impressed with the quality and amount of the mulch I received last year. In contrast to most feedback, my urban 'bush block' didnt quite get enough! I laid it on thick, with a thick layer of old papers underneath to hopefully prevent weeds and has done so far. The garden, which is basically never watered ( I dont waste the good stuff) has bloomed and even the full size trees have flourished. I immediately re-registered for another pile, but will happily wait until my turn comes around again. I have taken trailers from many SOS's as well. Have told everybody about this very sensible organisation. Am unsure how to comment on reducing the size of the drops to suit most people- except keep it large and whack it on thick. Thanks, Matt Cormack |

| Hi Tim, We received a delivery of mulch in December and were really happy with the process the quality of the mulch and the communication and the speed at which the delivery arrived. We were actually surprised at how fast it came, because we were on the free list at that time of the year I was not expecting a delivery for weeks even possibly months but it came the next week. Our neighbours all shared in the delivery and we decided to completely cover our front verge saving precious water and adding great parking in the shade. Our is looking great the plants are happier and the water bill is down. I appreciate the friendly tone and nature of the communication which has come since and appreciate all that you are doing. | Hi Tim I received a couple of loads, but they weren't as big as I thought they would be. It was still great to be able to have some mulch at minimal cost. I then received an e-mail about someone's excess mulch and was able to get two loads into my car. This mulch was nicely broken down and I have used it around my herbs and borders. I'm in no rush to spread the other load I got, because it's breaking down anyway. Thank you for a great website and useful information. I have told lots of people about the site and some have taken some of my mulch. That doesn't bother me, as I know I will probably be able to get another load if I need it. Keep up the great work, Tim. I look forward to e-mails from you with useful information. Chantal |

| Hi Tim, I just wanted to say I think your web site is great, I too am one of those waiting on a free mulch delivery but I really wanted to let others know about the other advertisers you also have online. Recently I had to get quotes for a garage door and after many phone calls to big companys I remembered that you had a specialist advertised. I gave them a call and I must say the young man was very prompt, efficient, friendly but most of all HONEST which some of the others weren't. He saved me quite a bit of money which I am eternally grateful for. So thank you for all your interesting tid-bits and to ASAP Garage Door Services - keep up the good work - I highly recommend them. | Tim About this time last year I registered for delivery of free mulch. It arrived within a week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. I was astounded, not only with its arrival but also the amount. I would estimate about 6 cubic meters. This amount proved to be fine, because we used most of it and the rest disappeared within hours when we notified our neighbours that the remaining mulch was free and available. You are providing a fabulous service which, I hope, provides a win win for both ourselves and the suppliers which see our registration as a better alternative to dumping unsold mulch. We have now registered for more mulch because we have extended our garden beds significantly. In the event of a delivery the neighbours have already been primed. My biggest concern now is that they will move so quickly in the event of seeing the pile outside my house that they may leave too little for me. Regards Vin Badham |

| I heard about the service in a newspaper article and have now had my second load of mulch.
The results have been similar in that my garden is more environmentally in tune with leaf litter to protect it
and the water table. A spin off is the neighbours who also benefit from donations of mulch and help to disperse
the load. Thank you for a wonderful service, kaz from bayswater. |

| Friends told us about http://www.mulchnet.com/ so we registered and just when we thought nothing
was going to happen we got a call and an enormous pile of mulch was kindly delivered. Perhaps we are slack or maybe
it the young baby, barren block or bad backs... but we took months to create garden beds and use up all our mulch.
Now we have a fantastic display of kangaroo paws... we get visits from local frogs and 18 months later we have
just registered for another load so that we can refresh our existing garden bits and plant new areas. It was definitely
worth the wait. I think it's a great service. Thanks, Rosemary Lynch |

| Hi Tim, We received our second load of 15 cu m last week. As before, the mulch is terrific quality and was dropped exactly where we had specified. Actually, because the mulch is quite light it’s pretty easy to distribute – it only took me two days using a small wheelbarrow and shovel. But the difference it makes to the garden makes the hard work worthwhile however long it takes to distribute; we have found that by putting down a layer about 10cm thick the soil stays damp underneath for several days after watering, even in the height of summer. One helpful trick is to make sure that a wetting agent is used on the soil before the mulch goes down. We haven’t experienced any nitrogen issues even with very green mulch. If more people took up your excellent service Perth would be a much greener, water conserving place! Roger |

| Hi there Tim, Just to let you know that my mulch arrived yesterday. Thanks for that. Very pleased with the load, what a mountain, but one of the kids will take anything I can't use so wasn't worried about that. I figured ordering the full load would suit the contractor and that obviously paid off with how quickly the load arrived after ordering. The mulch itself is predominantly leaf mulch, a lot like I get mulching the native shrubs around my own garden but don't get enough from it these days. I prefer this to all chips like I have seen around the neighbourhood which could be more attractive to white ants in a deep layer, the're out there I know :) I don't think this type mulch takes as much nitrogen out of the ground either and is not so much a problem in a native garden anyhow in my experience. A bit of cow manure under the plants just in case. The pile has also created a talking point with the many walkers we have passing by living next to Pinnaroo bushland so I've got your flyer/website details handy for anyone who is interested. Thank's once again. Andy |

| Dear Tim, Last Wednesday I was stressing -4 assignments to complete for uni in a week and then the man rang me to say 'I've got your load of mulch. I'll be there arounf 7.30.' What a start to the day. I wasn't quite prepared for the size of the load -there wasn't that much room left on the verge. My stress levels rose and I scolded myself for not checking if the neighbours would want to share it before it arrived. And the lady next door is so fussy, sweeps the driveway every day and the pile was right next to her side! Decided not to think about it -got rid of the 6 kids who still live at home and set to work on those assignments when ... a knock at the door ... 'did you know someone dumped something on your lawn?' I explained that I'd ordered it to share and she was welcome to have some- oh, no she didn't want it -took them months to rake up the wood chips. I start to panic - what if ... what if everyone says the same thing ... what if??? I spent my nights carting baskets of mulch around my garden -10 baskets, then 1/2 hour of study repeat several times till after midnight - oops the pile doesn't seem to have shrunk ... Sunday came and I happened to mention to a couple of friends that I had this great FREE mulch -they took 4 trailer loads, and then it snowballed. Other neighbours saw and I invited them to share and the wheel barrows started scurrying across the road. I loaded the back of my car with mulch for mum and dad -they came for more. The pile is less than a trailer load now and I have visions of pitch fork wars on the street as we vie for the last leaf. So, less than a week later, I'm smiling, the garden looks and smells gorgeous (the weeds are hidden)and I'm down to the last assignment - think I'll be asking for a bigger truck load next year, Mr Mulch. Many, many thanks from all of us. I've got a few more friends who are putting their names down now -looks like we're onto a winner!! Regards, Del Eaton |

| THANKYOU MULCHNET! I received my mammoth pile of mulch yesterday and I couldn’t wait to get home from work to start spreading it over our garden. I live in a rental house with a massive garden (or jungle). We pulled out all the weeds and were constantly trying to think of new inexpensive ways of keeping it weed free as well as neat. I was even using palm leaves but just didn’t have enough hehe! Anyway I believe that Mulchnet is the best service in Perth. I can’t tell you how much you have helped us. I have raved to so many people about you now so I hope I can give you something in return. Thanks a million Victoria McDonald 20 Warner Drive Padbury |

| Hiya Tim I would love another load of free mulch please. When we mulched our garden about a year and a half ago we felt like we'd never have to mulch again, ever! The plants thrived and although there were lots of big, spiky palm fronds in the load which had to be extracted carefully, the end result was very rustic and looked great! Weeds have started to creep through again now as the bare patches get bigger, so another load would be fantastic. Many, many thanks for such a great service. Kate Guest |

| Hi Tim, We learned of your service when attending a Great Gardens Seminar earlier in the year. Since we needed mulch (and a lot) in a hurry we opted for the paid service and ordered 15 cubic metres. Our order was almost immediately logged with Dickies Tree Lopping Service who then got in touch with us by phone. We had our 15 cu metre load delivered within 3 working days of order placement; a fantastic service. The mulch quality is excellent and when spread has a great rustic look. We are thrilled to bits. As we were spreading some mulch a passer by asked where we got it from because it was just what she wanted so we gave her your web address. Another time, when we are not in such a hurry to receive mulch, we may try the paid delivery method. We feel that possibly the free delivery service would require a lengthy wait unless there happens to be a huge surplus of mulch in our area. Diane and Derek Garner |

| Dear Tim Thankyou very much. I got a huge surprise when i received a phone call yesterday to say they would be here today with the mulch. i thought it would be at least a few weeks. I have alot of work ahead of me over the next week, but looking forward to it. I was at first concerned when i noticed half the load was cocos palm mulch, i thought it would be too acidic for my garden. so i rang up Sue (from garden guru's as she was on 6PR today) and checked with her and she put my mind at ease. \She said any mulch is better than no mulch, but it takes just a little bit longer to break down. so thanks again, Regards Sharon Hardy |

| Hi Tim, I appreciate the service you provide and the smart recycling concept of waste-not-want-not. Thankyou. I have been placing orders with your service now for a number of years. I can count on a wonderful 'smouldering' mountain of heavenly mulch being delivered within 5 working days of ordering and I look forward to it's arrival, because it means that I can literally bury myself in the garden for the next couple of days moving it. Unfortunately, my last delivery was a disappointment, the tree lopper concerned left me with a pile which was inferior, there was a predominance of intact palm fronds (maybe there was a malfunction with the mulcher) - I did the best I could with it, but it did create a disposal problem this end trying to get rid of the unuseable greenwaste. Thanks for the opportunity to provide feedback, which really goes a long way to making an already excellent concept even better. With regards, Sheldon |

| Tim Thank you for this great service!! Our mountain of mulch was delivered last Tuesday. It sat there until Saturday and in the meantime had started to compost. The heap was steaming, prompting a neighbour to ask whether she could jump in it! The aroma is fantastic. I hope you can continue this service. One suggestion is to lobby local councils to keep mulch out of landfill. I'm sure that with more environmental awareness there should never be the need to dump greenwaste into landfill. While the loads are big they are easily managed. Keep up the good work!! -- *Norm Holtzman** * |

| Hi, Just wanted to pass on some positive feedback. I came across your web address from the City of Stirling tip pass while visiting my niece. Although I have not used your service, reading your history & comments posted on your web page has prompted me to write. Needless to say, like many others, I think you are doing a fantastic job and glad you have preserved your early setbacks and finally getting the recognition that you no doubt deserve. I think many citizens of Perth have a lot to be thankful for. I wish you and your family all the very best and may you be well rewarded for your good deeds. Kind regards, Des |
